Year 11 Youth Leadership Showcase Event

During the autumn term, in session 3, 15 Year 11 students took part in a leadership programme with the ‘Toastmasters’ for a period of 10 weeks. The aim of the course was to develop students speaking skills working on key techniques required for giving presentation and speeches.

December the 1st saw the evening showcase where students delivered their personally written speeches on their own chosen topic. Parents, teachers and students attended to support year 11 whilst delivering their speeches. The students spoke with confidence and delivered speeches that were mature and beautifully written.

At the end of the evening, year 11 were awarded with their leadership qualification from the toastmasters, a worldwide recognised qualification.
