At Madeley Academy, good attendance is paramount to our ethos of being ‘Focused on Success’ and we promote good attendance and punctuality with the students in our Academy. Good attendance is 97% which is 184 days across the year and if our students reach this attendance figure, it means that they are able to learn as much as possible and go on to reach their full potential.
If you need to report an absence, please call the Academy on 01952 527715.
Procedure for students arriving late
Please note: Students who arrive exceptionally late after 9am (without a valid reason i.e. medical appointment/transport issues) will receive a U late mark which is classed as an unauthorised attendance mark. We ask that parents/carers inform us if your child has any upcoming appointments in order to record absence accurately.
To support a culture of punctuality and responsibility, students who arrive late without a valid reason provided by a parent or carer will be expected to make up the lost learning time during break or lunchtime on the same day.
We kindly ask for your support in ensuring your child arrives on time each morning. If there is an unavoidable reason for lateness, please contact the school attendance line on 01952 527715 or attendance@madeleyacademy.com
