Book Buzz Reading ProgrammeTue, 04 Oct 2022Year 7 were delighted to receive their free ‘Book Buzz books’ recently. Bookbuzz is a reading programme from the BookTrust that aims to help schools inspire a love of reading in 11 to 13-year-olds. The Academy pays into this scheme meaning that all our year 7 students get a choice of book for them to keep and enjoy. They are all carefully selected by a panel of experts at BooksTrust to ensure quality, suitability and to encourage reading for pleasure. This year’s choices were You Are A Champion by Marcus Rashford, Alex Rider Nightshade by Anthony Horowitz and My Big Mouth by Steven Camden. We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity for students’ love of reading for another year and we hope that our year 7 students enjoy their books. Images
