Lefèvre Project

Tue, 23 Feb 2016

In the last week of half term, 25 Madeley Academy students were involved in the first leg of the Lefèvre Project where we warmly welcomed 26 French students and 3 staff from Collège Mathilde-Marthe Faucher, Limoges. They spent the week taking part in external visits to places, including Ironbridge and the RAF museum, Cosford, to begin their work on the topic of ‘mass production to mass destruction’. The project itself has been set up to create a sustainable link between the 2 schools which will give our students the opportunity to maintain contact and develop friendships with their French student peers. This visit was also an invaluable opportunity to improve the students’ confidence and ability in speaking French with native speakers…which they have all made excellent use of! The whole visit was a huge success and we look forward to making our return leg of the partnering project in June.
