We are very fortunate at Madeley Academy to have our own instrumental teachers to deliver high-quality private Music tuition in addition to our curriculum Music lessons in the classroom. For a very reasonable fee, students at Madeley Academy can benefit from one-to-one tuition on a range of instruments, with individualised programs tailored to each child’s musical talent.
Students at Madeley Academy can have private tuition in the following instruments:
- Piano
- Singing
- Electric Guitar
- Acoustic Guitar
- Bass Guitar
- Drum Kit
What Benefits Does Music Offer?
Studies have shown that learning music can have a range of positive effects on children, including:

- Better personal & social skills
- Improved health & well-being
Lessons are paid for termly, in advance, with ten lessons per term costing £100. Students who are entitled to Free School Meals have 50% of this fee subsidised by the school, so lessons cost £50 for the term.
Lessons are 20 minutes long and take place during the school day, following a 2-week alternating timetable to avoid students missing the same lesson too often.
Students receive high quality one-on-one lessons with their teacher, following a personalised programme that suits their needs and wishes. They can choose to follow a traditional pathway that leads them through taking grade exams, or accelerate their playing in their own styles, with expert guidance on how to make the most of their abilities.
