GCSE Options
Around the March of Year 9, and after information and taster sessions, students submit their choices for GCSEs which start in Year 10.
A few weeks later, students are allocated their options. Due to timetabling, it isn’t always possible for everyone to have their first choices.
Your tutors, teachers, SEND and careers staff are all available to help you make your choices and parents/carers are also welcome to ask for help and guidance. Email your tutor or careers@madeleyacademy.com in the first instance. For SEN support, email Mrs Mistry on nmistry@madeleyacademy.com.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a career plan already – it would be unusual if you did! Choose a broad range of subjects that will give you lots of choices after your GCSE studies. If you do wish to explore different pathways, please contact careers for help careers@madeleyacademy.com
