Madeley Academy

Behaviour

The behaviour staircase sets out clear and consistent expectations for students and is the point of reference for both positive and negative behaviour choices. On occasion, steps may be missed when appropriate.

We understand that effective behaviour management does not always follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all model

Our approach focuses on understanding diverse needs, teaching positive behaviours, and ensuring that every student—regardless of their background— enjoys a calm, orderly, respectful, supportive, and safe environment in which they can thrive

This is driven by our vision “focussed on success” for every student.

It is the responsibility of the whole Academy community – students, parents/carers, teachers and teaching assistants – to work to support excellent behaviour.
