Inclusion at Madeley Academy: Supporting Every Child to be Focused on Success
At Madeley Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and able to succeed. Our Inclusion Team works closely with families, teachers, and specialist staff to make sure each student gets the help they need—whether that’s academic support, emotional wellbeing or additional learning provision.
We use a simple, structured approach so that no child is overlooked. All students benefit from our Universal Offer, which includes high-quality teaching, pastoral care, and regular progress checks. If a child needs more help, we provide targeted interventions such as literacy and numeracy support, mentoring, mental health guidance, or SEND interventions. Our teams also support students who are learning English as an additional language, young carers, children in care, and those eligible for Pupil Premium.
Parents can be confident that support is carefully monitored. We use reading assessments, EAL profiling, SEND pathways, and pastoral systems to identify needs early and track progress over time to ensure all our students keep up. Programmes such as FlashAcademy, Read Write Inc, Literacy Pathway, and personalised mentoring help us tailor support to each child.
Most importantly, we work in partnership with families. Our Inclusion Team—covering SEND, EAL, mental health, young carers, Pupil Premium, and pastoral support—is always here to listen, guide, and ensure your child feels a strong sense of belonging at school.
Madeley Academy is proud to be an inclusive community where every child is valued, understood, and encouraged to be focused on success to achieve their very best.
