Year 10 and 11 Students visit Paris

Mon, 21 Sep 2015

On Friday 18th September 38 year 10 and 11 students left Madeley Academy for 3 days in Paris, France! As these students are all preparing for GCSE coursework and exams, the visit provided them with the perfect chance to put all of their skills into practice! We boarded the ferry and left a dark, drizzly England to arrive 2 hours later in the sunny, warm capital city. After heading straight into the centre to start seeing the sights, we climbed the Arc de Triomphe, had photos by the Eiffel Tower and visited the Louvre museum to say ‘bonjour’ to Mona Lisa and the infamous glass ‘Pyramides du Louvre’.

Day 2 took us to DisneyLand Paris! After a full day of rides, parades and photos with Disney characters (Mr Crawford!), there was barely a person on the coach home who wasn’t the proud owner of a set of Mickey Mouse ears!

Finally, on day 3, we visited the beautiful Notre Dame cathedral and walked over the Pont des Arts before our journey home. The behaviour and enthusiasm of all of the students was ‘fantastique’ throughout and they were a credit to themselves and Madeley Academy! Merci tout le monde!
